From pressure to system

What had to change for this project to work

The narrative is simple: identify the operational drag, then design a system that removes fragility without adding more process theatre.

Challenge

The pressure we inherited

Managing a fleet of heavy vehicles requires precise coordination between mechanics, parts inventory, and operations. Relying on paper forms or disconnected systems resulted in downtime, correct parts being unavailable, and sync errors with the main SAP ERP.

Solution

The operating model we shipped

We developed a Progressive Web App (PWA) that mechanics use on tablets. It functions offline and syncs automatically when connectivity returns. It tracks work orders, scans parts barcodes to deduct from SAP inventory in real-time, and predicts maintenance based on mileage.

Built into the system

Capabilities that carried the case

Instead of listing generic modules, this section shows the specific controls, workflows and integration moves that made the delivery meaningful.

SAP Sync

Bidirectional synchronization with SAP ERP for inventory and asset management.

Offline First

Mechanics can work in remote areas without internet; data syncs when back online.

Predictive

Algorithms analyze vehicle usage to schedule maintenance before breakdowns occur.

Scanning

Camera integration for barcode scanning of parts, reducing manual entry errors.

Impact and evolution

What changed and where it can go next

The strongest case studies are not only about shipping. They show measurable operational movement and a platform shape that can keep compounding value after launch.

Outcomes

What improved after delivery

Fleet Maintenance System created clearer control over execution, speed and visibility for the client team operating it.

  • Reduced vehicle downtime by proactive maintenance scheduling.
  • Real-time inventory accuracy with SAP sync.
  • Eliminated paper-based work orders.
